Disassembly of the Puxing:
- Remove the battery and the PTT Switch.
- Remove the antenna and the two knobs from the top.
- Then remove the three retainer rings on top, these can be a little hard to loosen. Ask somebody to hold the radio so you can use both hands, if necessary.
- Now carefully pry the chrome inner part from the housing at the bottom. Take care not to break the plastic clips.
- Pull the chrome part out and down to pull the knobs at the top away from the housing. Don't pull too hard and to far, since the chrome part is attached with electrical connections inside.
- Do NOT disconnect the electrical connections inside unless you're absolutely sure you know what you're doing.
Improving the modulation of the Puxing
- When you turn the puxing over, you'll find a silver potentiometer a little below and left of the middle on the print.
- A quarter turn clockwise should do the trick.
